With over 25 years of impact, EM-ACT serves Eastern Missouri as a U.S. Department of Energy designated Clean Cities and Communities coalition. Formerly the St. Louis Regional Clean Cities, it has a strong foundation in advancing alternative fuels and energy-efficient transportation solutions across the region.
EM-ACT is known for its emphasis on partnerships, bringing together fleets, fuel providers, policymakers, and communities to support infrastructure development and real-world clean transportation projects. With a vision of a low- to zero-emissions future, EM-ACT continues to expand its reach and impact across Eastern Missouri.
Kansas Clean Cities
Led by Metropolitan Energy Center, the Kansas City Regional Clean Cities Coalition brings over 40 years of experience in transforming energy use across both the transportation and building sectors.
Serving communities across Missouri and Kansas, the coalition focuses on reducing emissions, improving air quality, and supporting the adoption of cleaner, more efficient technologies. Its work stands out for its strong emphasis on community engagement, regional collaboration, and addressing energy challenges at both the infrastructure and systems level.
Recognized as a credible leader and catalyst for effective partnerships, the coalition brings together businesses, municipalities, and community organizations to implement practical, scalable solutions. Ozarks Clean Fuels Coalition
Serving Southwest Missouri, the Ozarks Clean Fuels Coalition (OCFC) focuses on expanding access to clean transportation in rural and developing communities. Designated as a Clean Cities coalition in 2024, OCFC supports a 29-county region by connecting local fleets, governments, and organizations to practical, cost-effective solutions.
OCFC is known for its hands-on approach, providing technical assistance, funding support, and education to help communities adopt alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies. Its work emphasizes building strong local partnerships and ensuring that clean transportation solutions are accessible, scalable, and tailored to the unique needs of the region.
Through outreach, collaboration, and project implementation, OCFC is helping communities across the Ozarks reduce emissions, lower fuel costs, and move toward a more sustainable transportation future.
